In five weeks a dear friend of mine will be having her first child, technically my nephew! What is crazy about this is her husband has been deployed in Iraq for most of it.....she was only 6 weeks pregnant when he left. It's been a crazy roller coaster for her, enjoying her first pregnancy but also having a heavy heart because her husband has missed it all.....HOWEVER....he is coming home this week!!!!! I am jumping for joy, so you can imagine her happiness at this moment!!!

We have put off the nursery so that he could be a part of this amazing moment. It's time to get my creative juices flowing for my little guy!!!

My heart is so happy right now that I have decided to put on a big, BIG...HUGE SALE!!!!!! Because I want to share this joy I feel !!!!

I just came across this fantastic new changing table, while doing research for a very small nursery that I am working on. It is round so that it fits into a corner not taking up a wall.

With the round shape if your baby rolls over while on the table the baby will still be on the table safely.
The round design assures you will always be facing the baby while changing them and will be between their legs instead of the awkward side angle of standard tables.

Once your baby outgrows the diaper stage it can still be used as a stylish chest of drawers or side table! LOVE IT!!! Coming in October...

I just finished a "Nest" themed nursery for a lucky little girl and while on the hunt for wall art I fell in love with these. I used the last one as the take off point to a fabulous nursery.

After having my son, I soon found out how painful but gratifying breastfeeding can be in those early weeks. I would pump milk into bottles every now and then to let Dad join in the feeding, but one day he did the unthinkable....he clumsily knocked over a bottle with 5 oz of breast milk....which was more precious then gold to me in those days.

Anyway moving on you can imagine how it would annoy me when i removed my breast pads to see they were wet with milk. However I have found this awesome new product called a Milkie...it collects your milk instead of wasting it away while you go about your business. It's great for working mommies! So I just had to pass it along because I will totally buy these when I have my next little one.I know this has nothing to do with design but I have many soon to be mommy readers who I'm sure won't mind. I have found this amazing crib while doing research for a client who wants an Eco friendly nursery for her son. A burgeoning sustainable furniture company that is updating familiar silhouettes for a new generation of design-savvy parents and their brood. When I used to think Eco friendly I thought of natural finishes and simplistic design. However this beauty has changed that train of thought....

I love the sleek tapered leg, it's got a new traditional look to it. Very familiar design features that have been turned up a notch!

I love giving kids a space to sit and draw, play or even eat a snack like the adult, finding a kid's size table and chair set that is chic and functional isn't always easy. Here are a few of my faves!!!

The one above is my favorite, favorite as my son would say, it's made of high density foam so no bumps or bruises for the little ones.

Lighting for those late nights....
